With a number of formal Neighborhood Watch programs and the fact that neighbors look out for one another, Highland is a safe community. At all hours of the day one will see families out walking, playing sports together in one of the many parks or visiting with neighbors. The Highland Police Department is very visible within the community - especially the officers who attend most community events.
