Highland Welcomes You!

Highland
Welcomes You!

A community founded on civic spirit and pride over 175 years ago, and continues to prosper and grow with that same commitment today. This commitment to civic responsibility is evident throughout the community from the local government to our blue ribbon schools; from the business sector to our many civic organizations.

Everyone takes an active role in making Highland a great place to live and do business. High-quality healthcare, excellent education, state-of-the-art recreational and fitness centers, historical tourist sites and special events heighten the enthusiasm that embodies the spirit of this community.
We encourage you to explore Highland through our website, and then we invite you to come and experience the spirit of the community for yourself. Whether you join us for one of our summertime festivals such as the Peanut Butter & Jam festival on our beautiful downtown square, take one of our historical tours or just drop in for lunch at one of our many distinctive restaurants, we are confident you will enjoy your visit!
Highland Welcomes You!

One in a Million

 One in a Million.....Worth a Million…..Million Dollar Baby!!

In 2001 the Highland Chamber set out to find a way to implement a program that would benefit the merchants of Highland, the City and consumers as well. So, the Chamber Gift Certificate program was born with very minimal cost to the merchants and with no monetary benefit to the Chamber; making it a win-win situation for those participating. In looking at the projects of the Chamber it is certainly at the top of the list!
The Chamber is proud to announce that since inception, we have reached a milestone of having sold one Million dollars in Gift Certificates! With over 70 local merchants supporting this very popular program it is easy to see what makes it such a success!! This program offers so many benefits to Highland as it keeps revenue in town and in turn helps grow a strong economy. Chamber gift certificates are a one size fits all gift that everyone can enjoy! The list of Participants offers a vast variety of goods & ser-vices that can be used in the Highland area.
Why not be a part of this successful program and sign up to participate? It’s easy to do and the Annual Sign-up fee for merchants is only $30 which covers the cost of cer-tificates/envelopes and printing. Participating Merchants receive a sign to display in their business are also listed on the chamber website at highlandillinois.com. Mer-chants are encouraged to mention their participation in the Chamber gift certificate program in their promotions and ads.
Chamber gift certificates are used just like cash when presented for product or service purchase and merchants deposit them as if they were a check and receive credit for them. Making the transaction easy and efficient without any hassle to the consumer or merchant.
Gift Certificates can be purchase in denominations of $10 and $25 and can be pur-chased at the Chamber of Commerce Office or at most local banks and Vicky’s Hall-mark.
