Art in the Park
Highland Real Estate   Highland’s premier art event, Art in the Park is held at beautiful Lindendale Park, offering a tranquil setting for nearly 70 professional artists to display their works of fine art. While festival attendees shop for works of art in twelve categories, they can also explore various forms of culinary delight at food stands located within the park. Children, too, have the opportunity to shop at a special children’s gallery or even create their own works of art at the children’s outdoor studio. Highland Real EstateHard Road Theatre Productions
Highland’s own community theatre group. Established in 2001, their first production was Steel Magnolias in September of that year. Since then, hundreds of talented local thespians have delighted audiences in several dozen productions. Currently, the group produces four shows each year, one being a children’s production. Performances are held at the Highland Elementary School Auditorium. Check them out at www.hardroad.org.

Street Art Festival
Highland Real Estate  Artists “take to the streets” for this unique festival as they transform the streets around the downtown square into a temporary art gallery. More than 60 artists create colorful masterpieces using chalk as their medium. Visitors enjoy great food and street musicians as they watch the artwork come to life. The work of many local artists is also available for sale at the Art Expo. Sponsored by the Highland Chamber of Commerce, the Street Art Fest is held the first weekend in August. For more information contact the Highland Chamber of Commerce at info@highlandillinois.com or go to www.highlandartscouncil.org.
